These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come.22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church,23 which is His body, the fulness of Him who fills all in all.ġ4 For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father,15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.

“In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”ġ5 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you, and your love for all the saints,16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him.18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of thesame mind with one another according to Christ Jesus 6 that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
